Shut down the laptop
To begin make sure the laptop is not powered on and disconnect the AC power
Remove the bezel
Using an exact knife remove two plastic screw covers from the bottom corners. Remove the two
Phillips screws one in each bottom corner. Proceed on removing the bezel start at the top inner
edge and go around the perimeter of the screen unsnapping the plastic tabs underneath. Take
extra care at the bottom edge. Set the bezel aside
Release the screen
The LCD is mounted with four Phillips screws one near each corner. Once the screws have
been removed line the keyboard with a cloth or a paper towel. Gently lay the LCD face down on
the keyboard
Disconnect the screen
Peel the clear tape securing the video connector and using both hands. Slide the video cable
out gently peel the video cable securing tape away from the LCD. Set the old screen aside
Connect the new screen
At this point the new screen can be installed place the new panel on the keyboard and align the
video cable using both hands. Gently reconnect the video cable making sure it's not twisted or
slanted. It must be plugged in straight. Attach the video cable to the bottom of the LCD with
sticky tape
Install the new screen
Bend out the protective film tabs lift the LCD into the screen assembly and remove the protective
film. Replace the four LCD mounting screws one in each corner
Test the screen
At this point the new screen can be tested. Press the power button and if the startup graphics
appear the LCD is installed and working properly. Hold the power button to cancel the boot up
Replace the bezel
Start at the hinge cover then proceed around the perimeter of the bezel gently snapping it back to
the screen. Assembly replace the two bezel screws at the bottom corners. Replace the plastic
covers one in each corner. Make sure that the bottom edge is also snapped in place. Reconnect
the AC power turn the laptop on and you're done!
